Look at it this way, in the Yellow Pages (I know, who uses that, but, just bear with me), there are xx million listings of people and businesses. When someone gets added, does anyone know? Nope. This is the same thing with a website. When you create a website on the internet where there are about 140,000 new web pages per day and over 1 billion listings (2014), do you think anyone will know after you create yours?
So, how do you get known? It’s no different that old school advertising and marketing, you have to tell people. The “new school” however has some new channels such as ads on websites, emails, social media, and search engines, particularly Google.

- My site is responsive (which means it views properly on mobile, tablet, or desktop), as I mentioned above. That’s important for keeping visitors and SEO. I know from my own experience, I generally can’t be bothered to stay on a website that is not mobile friendly (if I’m using my smartphone).
- I’ve installed enhanced security to reduce the chances of getting hacked and having my site taken down
- The Web Host I use is ranked the highest quality ranked Web Host by PCMag in 2017.
- I’m ready to upgrade my hosting package to deal with increased load on my site.
